Typically if the Pre-K teacher is full time around 50 hours a week or more.
I'm currently only working part time but other Pre-K teachers arrive at school between 7 and 7:30 and leave around 4 (the school day starts at 8 45, kids arrive to opening room as early as 7 30. The school day ends at 3:00). So on average they are in the classroom for 8-9 hours a day or 40-45 hours a week. Then outside of that you have to think of planning time, and prep time. That easily adds 10-15 hours a week, possibly more.
Me being part time, I currently teach 30 hours a week, with prep time probably about 40 hours a week.

I am a public school pre-k teacher and I work about 55 hours per week. School begins at 7:55 though children can be dropped off at 7:30. Our school day ends at 3:00, the time by which all children are required to be picked up. I work from about 6:45 until 4:00 p. m. I also put in about another 10 hours at home, or back in the classroom on the weekend.

I'm fairly the same as the above poster. I'm a university student undertaking an education course, and when I was working at a pre-school/kindergarten I put at least 50 hours, sometimes closer to 60 hours a week; you've got to factor in planning requirements, cleaning up and documentation strategies, amongst the actual teaching and paper work and such! It's worth it though :)
