i want to apply for a course to study about teaching children, and special needs children, from age 0 to 6. To apply for it, I have to go through an interview with the school, to show what I have done with children.

I will be able to interview some children, before I go for the interview at that school.
I will be able to interview three 4 years old children(one is a special needs boy) and two five year old boys. Of the 5 children, 4 are boys and only 1 is a girl.

What questions do you think I should ask them?
I was thinking of asking them what do you think of your school, play time, and something across that line.
I plan to ask them 1-3 questions each, excluding name and age.

Please give me some suggestions of questions that I could ask them, which would help me in my application of learning how to teach young children and special ed young children.

Thank you so much!! (Please do not be mean)

I wouldn't call it an interview, you can learn a lot from children just by interacting with them. Avoid close-ended questions. If you just start asking questions, they might just refuse to answer. You need to almost be asked to join them, then ask them to tell you about what they are doing in the present. Be warned, some (read:most) kids that young have a hard time focusing on the past or present, or anything that is not on them directly at that moment. They are just a teeny tiny bit egocentric.

You can't "interview" kids that young. I'd suggest you sit on the floor and interact with them.
